About the Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Theatre Floor Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the daily coordination of operating theatre activities within a well-established private hospital in Regional NSW.

Reporting directly to the Theatre Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll act as the go-to leader on the floor ensuring theatre lists run efficiently, resources are well managed, and patient care is delivered to the highest standards. This hands-on leadership position is ideal for a senior perioperative nurse ready to take the next step in their career, with the support of a collaborative management team behind them.

You’ll work alongside dedicated scrub/scout, anaesthetic, and recovery nurses, surgeons, and anaesthetists in a busy but positive environment that values teamwork, communication, and patient outcomes.

Skills and Experience

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in theatre or perioperative nursing

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support, motivate and guide theatre teams

  • Sound understanding of clinical governance, safety and quality standards

  • Previous experience coordinating theatre lists or acting in a leadership capacity desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing or management (advantageous)
